Ás, workstation

 is a sheltered workplace for people with disabilities under the management of ÁS. The Ministry of Social Affairs puts a certain amount into the business according to the Icelandic laws of the concernment of people with disabilities. It started the 22nd of October 1981 with 12 workers, but today they are about 30.

The workstation emphasis on creating jobs for people with disabilities, and an atmosphere witch is suitable for each and everyone. The main concern is to make people more affective, with better self esteem and better salary, and finally make them able to go to work on an open marked.
